When we were passing through the Hall of Mirrors. We can already see what probably is the one of the largest features in the entire palace grounds. The garden is also a requisite feature in any palace and the Palace of Versailles has this in abundance. From the chateau, it wasn’t very obvious where the garden ends. However, there was no direct way for us to get to the garden. It was only after we were done touring the chateau that we can access the garden. After a very quick lunch it was time for us to go explore the garden. I don’t think I have ever been to a garden as large as this one.

The garden, when combined with the chateau, makes the Palace of Versailles one of the largest palaces in the world. Parts of the garden are under renovation but I don’t think that matters. There is probably a lot to see here in the gardens it would take us some time to explore the whole thing. It feels more like a park rather than a garden. Then again, the kings of France sure like to take things to great extremes. The garden here is just another example of this extreme.
