Tibetan Temple in Guishan Park 龟山公园

Guishan Park's Temple

Guishan Park’s Temple

The Tibetan Temple in Guishan Park is one of the important sites here in Guishan Park. The temple occupies an excellent location here at the top of the hill overlooking the rest of the town. The temple itself wasn’t very large but given the size of the town of Dukezong, it might not even merit that big of a temple. I suspect that majority of the residents of Dukezong Ancient Town are already of Han ethnicity, with them being lured by the prospect of money by setting up businesses here.

The temple does seem to be visited but I didn’t really see too many worshippers here. Most of the people who passed through the temple were just taking photos, perhaps it wasn’t really that important after all. There is a more fun activity here at the top of Guishan and people seem to be excited about, I’m going to take a look.
