Going to Zhong Street 中街

After exploring the Imperial Palace in Shenyang, I decided to try to take a look around the Imperial Palace area. I was trying to walk back to the hotel where I was staying and I think I remember which way the hotel was. If I happen to get lost, I can just go back to the imperial palace. The streets of Shenyang look just like any other Chinese city. It surprised me to know that Shenyang is Northeast China’s largest city. There was so much activity here that it reminds me of a Chinese Hong Kong if that even means anything.

I traced back my path and came to what appeared to be a pedestrian shopping street. But this one seems to be still under construction or renovation. There was a lot of subway work going on here as well so I was quite a mess. However, it was obvious that this was going to be one of the more significant streets in the city. Zhong Street is one of Shenyang’s shopping streets. Much like other pedestrian shopping streets in the country, this also makes use of European themed buildings along its stretch. Looks like I would have a place to hang out after all.
