Shui Xin Xie 水心榭

I was only too glad to have come back to the lowlands are almost getting lost in the mountain area of the Mountain Resort 避暑山庄 in Chengde. I managed to get back to the relaxing lake area where I decided to rest to plan my next move. Apparently, this was one of the more picturesque areas in the lake. This place is the Shui Xin Xie 水心榭. These are three little pavillions which are built on top of a causeway crossing the lake. Naturally, the pavillions make it an excellent place to appreciate the beauty of Good Luck Lake 如意湖.

It was already noon time and I was actually tired from all that walking. As it turns out, it would have really been better had I took the tourist cart around the Mountain Resort as it would have saved me a lot of time walking around and searching for a trail. Most of first time tourists would have done this. The rest are just locals who live here and just want to walk around the park. There are a lot more scenic spots here in the park which I really don’t have much time for. This place would be ideally visited for at least an entire day, this would have to assume that you also managed to secure accomodations which is not that easy for foreigners.
