The Streets of Old Suzhou 苏州
The Suzhou Mingtown International Youth Hostel 苏州明堂国际青年旅社 is located in the old part of Suzhou City. Actually, Suzhou was originally on the water town that are quite common in this area. However, as a result of modernization, Suzhou has grown much bigger than the old town. Although a lot of the waterways in the town still exist, it is most probably there purely for tourism purposes. The old town it lit up by lights usually along the waterways. Well, we needed to meet up with someone here in Suzhou, it is supposedly walking distance away from our hostel, so it shouldn’t be too bad.
