While it is true that the Putuozongcheng Temple was built as a replica of the Potala Palace in Tibet, the Ming builders still put in a little bit to Ming aesthetics to their temple. As a result, the Putuozongcheng Temple is said to be a fusion of Chinese and Tibetan architecture. Although the Tibetan side is probably most apparent, you would be surprised to see very Chinese features in some parts of the temple.
