Jones Bridge
One of the famous and historical landmarks in the City of Manila is Jones Bridge. It is a major bridge connecting Chinatown to Intramuros and the resto fo the city. It crosses the murky Pasig River. Apparently, the beginnings of Jones Bridge can be traced all the way to 1701, when it was called the Puenta de Espana. In the early 1900s during the American occupation, the bridge was rebuilt and renamed Jones Bridge after Atkinson Jones, a US Congressman who pushed for Philippine autonomy.
