Tibetan Prayer Flags at the Xumifushou Temple 须弥福寿之庙
When emperors give gifts expect them to be grand. When Emperor Qianlong celebrating his 70th birthday, the Panchen Lama of Tibet paid him a visit in celebration of this occasion. Delighted by this gesture, the Emperor Qianlong ordered the construction of the replica of the residence of the Panchen Lama which was the Tashilunpo Temple in faraway Tibet. Thus was born the Xumifushou Temple whose name means Temple of Happiness and Longevity of the Sumeru Mountain.
