Leizhou Association 雷州会馆
Chinese are quite clannish by nature as they tend to group together wherever they are found. This is one of the main reasons for the existence of Chinatowns. This clannishness give them a social network to lean on in times of need and it has served them in good stead throughout the centuries. However, this clannishness can be found in different levels of Chinese society, most especially found in overseas Chinese communities in the form of family associations. These associations would comprise mainly of people who come from the same province, or probably share the same surname, which would mean, they are probably related somehow or just come from the same province.
