Journey to Melaka
The bus ride from Larkin Bus Terminal in Johor Bahru was a comfortable one. I have taken numerous long distance bus rides in Malaysia and practically all of them are in relatively luxurious coaches which number three in a row. You can even recline your chair if you want to sleep. The drivers seem to know how to drive these kinds of vehicles that they are not the maniacs that one would normally associate with bus drivers. I even managed to get a couple of hours of sleep on the way to Melaka, after all, I woke up at five in the morning just to be able to get here.
The last time I went to Melaka was around eight years ago and I remember that we went through the second link instead of the way I’m going through now. Either way, I don’t know how to go to second link yet. The highway to Melaka was excellent as ever. I have always been impressed with the Malaysian highways system and how it makes it extremely efficient to bring people from one city to another. I haven’t been through this highway during rush hour so I don’t really how how effective it is in handling large volumes of vehicles.
