The town immediately across the small land bridge from Barangay Bool is the town of Daius in the island of Panglao. As I made my way through the small town, I caught sight of its most important structure – the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption. It may seem that all Bohol is about are churches. That may be an understatement since the island is dotted with these old buildings from the Spanish era. Interestingly enough, there didn’t seem to be much Spanish buildings other than the churches or maybe I just missed them. Anyway, the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption in Dauis is yet another example of these buildings as a legacy of the Spanish.
