Colorful Garden in the Humble Administrator's Garden 拙政园

Throughout the centuries, Suzhou was known throughout the Middle Kingdom for its beautiful gardens. This is interesting since The Jiangnan region is known to be one of the most beautiful places in the country. The combination of water and mountains all make for this region to be one of the most desirable. Not surprisingly, a lot of people settled in this area, no doubt inspired by the beauty of the surrounding countryside, the people took to owning a piece of the scenery themselves. As a result, numerous gardens sprouted in Suzhou, each one grander than the other.
