Probably one of the most fascinating features inside the main building of the Putuozongcheng Temple is the Thousand Buddha Pavillion after all it won’t be a Buddhist temple if it didn’t have a Thousand Buddha Pavillion. In this case, it was made more special. At a protected area inside the main building is a pagoda like tower carved from rosewood soaring five stories high. The pagoda has small arches on its sides in which were carved the likeness of Buddha. Naturally the number of these likenesses number up to a thousand.
