Local Exercising Over Tai'an City 泰安

Mount Tai is undoubtedly the most important mountain in China. According to the Taoist religion, there are five sacred mountains in China for each of the cardinal directions called the Five Great Mountains 五岳. Mount Heng or Hengshan 恒山 in the north, confusingly, Mount Heng or also Hengshan 衡山 in the south, there is a difference in the Chinese character used, Mount Tai or Taishan in the East, Mount Hua or 华山 in the West and Mount Song or Songshan 嵩山 in the center. Of these five great mountains, Mount Tai is considered the greatest of them all.
