Staying in Limerick

Whenever I travel, I tend not to plan it very well. I think it is happening again since I seem to be trying to visit everything all at once. I planned to visit several counties in southern Ireland, I for some reason, I only allocated one day for Limerick. I figured that if I woke up early and started exploring Limerick in the morning, I would be able to save some accommodation. That didn’t really materialized since I was in Bunratty the whole morning. I only left the town after lunch. This is my first time driving into Limerick so I wasn’t really prepared for the traffic.

I was surprised how bad the traffic was that day. It was a weekday but there were so many vehicles. It took me while before I could cross the river as the traffic was just inching its way along. My accomodations wasn’t really that far from the city center. In fact, it seemed to be along one of the major roads in the city. I managed to find the place. It was a surprisingly secluded house and you won’t see it along the road unless you pay very special attention, which I can’t afford to do since I was driving.

The folk at the accommodations were very friendly and chatty folk. I was showed my room, which turned out to be their daughter’s room. It shows in the decor. I didn’t really mind it since I would only be sleeping there. I was given the keys and I rested for a bit before heading out again. I left the car with them since the city center was nearby.
