The Talbot Collection of farming tools was just part of the Bunratty House. The Bunratty House is part of the grounds of the Bunratty Folk Park, it is also one of the more visited ones. So imagine a noble living in Bunratty Castle, it is indeed a castle but they aren’t exactly very comfortable. In fact, upon visiting the Bunratty Castle, I didn’t think it was a nice place to live in. For one thing, the windows were too small and it isn’t really very homey. By the 1800s, the occupants finally had it with the castle and moved out to a nearby house. It wasn’t just a house, it would be more appropriate to call it a mansion.

The Bunratty House is along the main tourist trail and it is actually on the fringe of the park. There was a fence right outside the main door of the house which made for a very awkward way to enter the building. It felt like one was visiting from the side door, almost like sneaking in. Anyway, it was drizzling that time and I wanted to get away from the rain for a while. Again, there didn’t seem to be anyone entering the place. Thoughts began entering my mind on whether this was actually open to visitors or someone actually lives there. There was only one way to find out.
