Rockefeller Center

It was my second time to visit Rockefeller Center, I enjoy the view from the top of the tower and I personally think it is one of the best views of New York City at night. Before all that, there was something different about the place. It was very early January and the famous Christmas tree at the center was still up. One of our colleagues learned that we will be going to New York City and told us that the tree would still be up until that weekend. It was almost the weekend so we were in luck. It has always been my dream to see the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center. From what I have seen, it has always been a big thing whenever Rockefeller Center puts up their Christmas tree. It was a big thing when they started using LED bulbs for the lights. It would probably be nice to see the annual show here but I think there would have been way too many people.

Another thing special here is the the skating rink. I remember that there was no skating rink here when I first visited. It is only open during the winter so we were in luck. It was nice to watch people skating around but my friends weren’t keen on it. Who wants to skate here by yourself right? Anyway, my friends were more keen on going up the tower and taking in the sights. I felt sorry that we won’t be able to skate here since it is very seldom that we come here. There were a lot of people at the plaza itself just watching other people. Naturally there were a lot of tourists, including us. If we won’t be skating, I think we just quick go up the tower and get it over with.
