View of the Singapore Central Business District from the Marina Bay Sands

Central Business District of Singapore

Central Business District of Singapore

The Marina Bay Sands in Singapore is one of the cornerstones of the country’s tourism push. I believe is has been hugely successful since you can see hordes of tourists staying here as well as going to their casinos. I have never been inside their casino but if you want to have a look there is a spot in the mall where you can have a peak at what a casino in action looks like. It is rather high up so it would be extremely difficult to cheat if at all possible. Anyway, it was time for me to leave.

Looking at the Raffles Place

It was already dark outside and the Marina Bay Area is already lit up. The Marina Bay Sands glitters like a jewel. But that is not the only one lit up. The Central Business District of the country is right next door and visitors can get a good look at the entire area. I like night shots of these places and I think Singapore has one of the better looking ones out there. I do think that Hong Kong is still tops. There is a walkway outside the Marina Bay Sands and you can walk along here and enjoy the view of the Central Business District. I noticed that the next extension of the business district seems to be complete that is the Marina Bay Financial Center which consists of several glass towers. I’m not sure if there are still plans for expansion but it seems to be quite complete now.
