Tasty Fried Shrimp at Choobi Choobi

My visit in Legazpi City wasn’t very tasty. I am aware that Bicolano food is well known throughout the country but I think I have had it in the big city that I wasn’t even aware what is local anymore. I had Bicol express the other day and I can’t say it was great. It was definitely authentic but I was never a fan of this dish in the first place, its main ingredient, coconut milk is one of my least liked ingredients. I went to the mall that evening trying to find a place to eat. The mall here is an Ayala Mall which has gigantic malls in Manila this is the first one I have seen outside the capital.

The mall was open air which probably saves a lot in air-conditioning. The top floor has most of the restaurants and I was trying to pick one of them. I saw this restaurant with what seems to be a goofy name Choobi Choobi. It seems that they are known for their shrimp and what attracted me was the have a dish which is fried shrimp and they serve it in large numbers. That sold me, I got myself a table and my shrimp. They serve unlimited rice here which is fine by me. The fried shrimp was nice an tasty. It seemed to be fried in a special sauce and it was that tasty. The shells were fried so well that you can already eat them. I never got used to eating shrimp with shell and I would usually peel them. However, if they were fried like this the shell becomes crispy that it becomes easy to easy by just eating everything but the head which has a pointy part. I really liked this restaurant and I thought that the plateful for shrimp was really worth it. I ended up eating there another night but I had something else. That night, I accidentally left my camera on a chair, fortunately, staff found it and were waiting for me.
