It was such a beautiful day that morning that I hurriedly wanted to take advantage of it. You could forgive me for this since I seldom see blue skies anymore. I had a plan to explore the areas around Legazpi City that day and I would like to start by going to the beach. I read that there is such a thing as a black sand beach here in the Bicol region. It is actually volcanic sand and it is said to be pretty rare. I was curious and I thought I should go pay it a visit. There was a black sand beach which was near Legazpi city and it is Coron-coron Beach, which is in the village of Bacacay.

Now Google Maps is useless when it comes to jeepneys and the only way I know to get there was to go to bus terminal and get a jeepney there. After some interviews, I managed to find the correct jeepney going to that direction. As usual, the jeepney was in no hurry to leave as it was still collecting passengers to make the trip worth it. I found out that the jeepney is heading towards the city of Tabaco which also has a few old churches. I didn’t have plans to go there so I just followed my plan. At the main junction going towards the beach, there was a tricycle stand but there weren’t any tricycles. I got tired of waiting and I just set out on foot to go to the beach, I hope I won’t get lost.
