I was very tired that night and I was already sleeping on my way back to our hostel. The plan was to get dressed and go out for some dancing, which isn’t one of my interests. My friends still have some stuff to use up while I was quickly fast asleep. I woke up to find out that they were also knocked out but due to different causes. I didn’t think that the clubbing thing would actually have pushed through given that they were also too tired to do it. Anyway, that was our last night in Amsterdam and the next day we went to the airport. Since we spent the whole day at Amsterdam that afternoon, there was no point for us to keep the car. We returned it to the car rental and that was that. We took the train to the airport which wasn’t very far away.

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is the fifth busiest airport in Europe. This is my second time at the airport but first time flying. We had to go to the airport to get the rental car which was at a hotel near the airport. Fortunately, the airport is connected to the train system and it is very convenient to get there. Curiously, Schiphol Airport is composed of only a single terminal building. This is quite different from what I was used to where you have several terminal buildings. The design is one large terminal building with multiple departure halls. I wasn’t sure what the difference is but I guess it makes things a bit easier to manage if everything is all in one building.
