Inside a Tram in Brussels

We were on a train from Antwerp on our way back to Brussels. We were told to transfer trains midway. I was thinking that the train wasn’t the full and they just wanted to make more efficient use of the trains by transferring us to another train. I guess the other train will be heading back to Antwerp. We were actual just outside Brussels by that time, we just needed to wait for the train to come. We were told to take the third train and we got off at the Brussels city center for some drinks. To get there, we took a tram.

Brussels has a very comprehensive tram system and it is the public transport of choice for most people. One can think of them as buses but with tracks. We got a day pass for our transportation needs so we just tapped our card on the sensor. I wasn’t sure if it was a flat rate going anywhere but in all my rides, no one checked our tickets. If you don’t have a ticket you can purchase one from the driver, he is a busy man so you need to be quick about what you need. Fortunately, most of them can understand English so we were able to go where we need to.
