The Cathedral of Our Lady in Antwerp is a very impressive cathedral. It is a Gothic cathedral in the middle of old Antwerp. As you might expect, the cathedral is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. One side of the church is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. It isn’t really a chapel but it is separated enough to have it own entrance. My camera couldn’t really see that close to where the statue is. There is a prayer area before it which is off limits to cameras.

What makes it more attractive is that there is a wall of stained glass windows which illuminate the area. The windows tell various stories from the Bible. I think it is a very standard thing to see in Gothic churches. The main attraction of the cathedral here are the works of art which are mostly posted on the pillars of the church. Interestingly, some of the paintings are split into three panels with the central one being the largest panel. There was no service when we visited but I expect it to be very lively when it does.
