I had a very satisfying dinner at the Argentina Restaurant in Brussels. I don’t think it had anything to do with Argentina but the food was still good. There was still quite a bit of time before the concert my friend would be attending but most importantly there was still no ticket. Tickets had run out very quickly and the only way to get them was through scalpers. Sure enough there was one at the concert venue and he promised a ticket. We sat at the Les Brasseurs bar waiting for the scalper. It seems they have a few Belgian beers here and some which I haven’t had before. I was intrigued by the Bush beer since it had such a high alcohol content of 12%. My friend didn’t want to have that much since he still has a concert to attend. I can stay here and sip to my heart’s content.

I didn’t like the Bush beer that much as I found it a bit too bitter. The high alcohol content was probably the only thing going for it. I took a long time to finish the bottle. The scalper had already returned with the ticket for a 120% premium. My friend went ahead with it anyway since that was one of the reasons why we came to Belgium in the first place. I finished the rest of my beer and head out shortly. The trouble with being abroad was that you don’t have proper internet connection. I did but my battery was running low as well, I couldn’t run the risk of my friend not finding me wherever I decide to go afterwards.

I ended up going out and exploring the city center. It really is a beautiful part of the city and I can’t get tired of it. I ended up back at the Galeries Royales St. Hubert, which is considered one of the world’s first shopping arcades. This time, it was already night time and there were lights here. It was quite pretty here and naturally wanted to take photos of the place. I think I liked it better at night but the shops here weren’t open anymore. It is a shame since I wanted some chocolate.
