The whole point of visiting this part of Brussels was to be able to visit the Horta Museum. The Horta Museum is a museum dedicated to the works of the famous Belgian designer and architect Victor Horta. Okay, maybe he wasn’t that famous to me, I haven’t heard of him and I only came to know about him since his works have been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The weather was terrible that day. The rain was pouring and there was no avoiding getting wet here. It took us some effort to get here since it was two bus rides away from our hotel.

Imagine our excitement and disappointment to find the place and to know that it was closed that day! Not only were we wet and miserable but we don’t even get to see what we set out to see. There wasn’t any shelter in that part of the city so I was just relying on my not so waterproof jacket to keep dry. Already it is hitting its limits since I can feel the rain through the jacket. It was a shame since we already came all the way here to see it. The building itself wasn’t that outstanding. I’m not familiar with his works but all I can do is take photos of the museum building and parts of it. I think this was going to be a disappointing day.
