Thoughts on the Cliffs of Moher

A Look at the Cliffs of Moher

The cliffs of Moher were every bit as impressive as I thought they would be. I was suprised to see how tall they really were. I think the vertical drops really give you an impression of huge size. From the edge you can hardly make out any people standing on the other points of the cliff. As I unfortunately found out, the best spots will be on the left, that way you get see to more cliff which can be illuminated by the sun. If you are lucky, you can wait for the sunset to do this that way you can get the entire cliff face illuminated.

I wasn’t sure where the cliffs end. It seems like the path either side goes on indefinitely. It was getting dark now, and I think it was time for us to leave. I think it would have been an interesting walk to see how far the cliffs really are. The cliffs are actually open to the public without any charge. But you need to pay for parking. You can try to park somewhere else and walk to the cliffs. This is one of Ireland’s top tourists attractions and I think they need to upgrade the walking trails here. The paths can be quite muddy and slippery, it might be dangerous to walk if you are constantly worrying about slipping.
