We were only too glad to enter the Hazel Mountain Chocolates after a little misadventure finding the place. The place was actually further down the road from where our GPS was telling us it would be. Fortunately for us, there were no shots fired and we found the place eventually. The Hazel Mountain Chocolates seems to be a unique place to have some chocolate especially here at the Burren. It seems to be quite well known since there were buses bringing in tourists into the restaurant. This doesn’t seem to be the tourist trap that I have seen in Asia but I was still a bit wary. Their dining area was quite large and attractive, and most importantly, warm. We had a dog with us so we can’t go in to enjoy our food.

Fortunately, there was outdoor seating. It wasn’t especially comfortable since it was wide open. The seats were also made of cold metal and not very nice to sit in. We had our chocolate based snack here. I can’t remember what they were called since I’m not exactly a dessert person. I do remember that they had poppy seeds on them. They also have a store where you can purchase their chocolate. From here you can also see their work area where it was all being made. There wasn’t any being done at that time. I think it would have been nice to see that. Perhaps a video of the process somewhere would be helpful.
