I was never a fan of modern art. You could say that when it comes to art, I’m the more traditional type, oil or water color paintings, sketches sculpture everything all hand made. When I came to know about modern art, I really couldn’t get it. Sometimes you would ask yourself if this was really art of just some simple project by a kid. Seemingly simple swings of the brush would be considered beautiful art. I probably won’t get it but a lot of people do. The Metropolitan Museum of Art also has a section on modern art, I probably won’t be lingering here too much as I can’t appreciate it.

I know that New York has a famous modern art museum, aptly called the Museum of Modern Art. This is a famous place as well but not my thing. I decided to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art instead and I didn’t regret it. The modern art gallery of the Metropolitan Museum of Art isn’t anywhere as big as the Museum of Modern Art but there is still a fair amount of modern art to be appreciated here. There are, of course, the requisite abstract form of art which make you think what the artist was trying to impart. Thankfully, the gallery was small so I breezed right through it.
