I decided to visit the Metropolitan Musuem of Art in New York. I’m not a huge fan of modern art so I thought this was a good place to visit instead. The museum looks like it is massive and I would probably be walking all over the building just like previous museums I visited. I expect to zone out after the 100th amazing exhibit and just walk through the galleries just to get out of there. I randomly walked to one of the wings of the museum. This one seems to be dedicated to Egyptian Art.

Egypt has probably one of the oldest civilizations in the world. Anyone who was read about world history has probably touched on Egyptian culture. It was the great old civilizations and it fascinated me no end. When I saw photos of the Egyptian art, I was amazed at the complexity of the figures considering that these were all done thousands of years ago. Probably even more amazing that the these pieces of art have survived the millennia for all of us to appreciate. The Metropolitan Museum of Art has a large gallery of collected Egyptian art and I’m sure it would fascinate me to no end.
