New York City and the Brooklyn Bridge

Brooklyn Bridge and the New York Cityscape from Brooklyn Park

I was just hanging around the Brooklyn Park waiting for the sun to set. It was not very good conditions for taking photos of the city with the sun still out, but once it was dark enough, it was much better. The skyscrapers of New York city started lighting up, finally illuminating the buildings which were too dark to photograph since they were backlit. What made it better was that there was still a little light left from the sunset that there is still color in the sky. I was loving it. The point of coming here was to photograph the New York cityscape. There is another major landmark here which worthy of being photographed and that is the Brooklyn Bridge.

One of the iconic photos of New York city is taken from this area where the former World Trade Center Twin Towers served as a background. The foreground was the elegant Brooklyn Bridge, which makes this place one of the most photographed sites in New York. The suspension cable of the Brooklyn Bridge had little lights on them so you can see them. The scenery is still the same but with the twin towers now replaced by the One World Trade Center which is just as iconic. I was delighted by the photo and I was moving fast to make full use of the light that was given me. Too dark and it won’t be that nice anymore.
