Relaxing at the Brooklyn Park Promenade

I was happy I managed to find Brooklyn Park. I wasn’t exactly sure if this was the place I was looking for. I only confirmed it when I saw the Brooklyn Bridge. The Brooklyn Park is probably one of the best places to admire the cityscape of New York. It is much like the spots in Hong Kong, Singapore and Shanghai. Of course, New York City preceded all three of those great cities. Brooklyn Park has a promenade where you can relax while admiring the view. The sun was setting behind the city from this angle, so there wasn’t much point photographing the city as it will turn out black. I was waiting for the lights to go on before doing that.

I has been quite a while since I was able to explore a place like this so I was enjoying every minute of it. I was wary of the people around me since I wasn’t sure if it is a safe area but there were a lot of tourists and even families here so I guess that is good sign. I didn’t see security though and that is probably also a good sign since there was no need for it. There are cruise ships which would pass by in front of us. I think that would be a nice experience but I tend not to go for such things since I value the photography more. I won’t be able to take a good photo if the ship is moving, so I content myself with the promenade area.
