Exploring Human History

The exhibits at the American Museum of Natural History were very well made. There were exhibits of animals which looked very lifelike. These were not just stuff but posed in dramatic fashion. The exhibits were group by location in the world such as North America, Africa and Asia. I thought they were quite informative though I wasn’t able to read all of them. I think this is meant to pique the interest of people to hopefully move on to science. It is too late for me but I still enjoy it. There was also a section dedicated to humans. However, rather than dealing with history itself, it focuses more on the culture of humans.

The human area is also divided by location. This area didn’t interest me that much there there still impressive exhibits here. Probably one of the more spectacular ones is a massive head of the Olmec. I think I have seen these on television, most famously one from an episode of the Simpsons. The head is larger than life and it is quite impressive. Another impressive exhibit is a moai which are better known as the giant heads at Easter Island. There was a queue of people taking photos with the moai but I just waited in between photos to get mine. I moved through that section quickly, hopefully there would be more interesting stuff for me.
