Gelateria del Teatro

We continued exploring Rome but I really had no idea where we were. I left all the navigation to my companions and they seems to be really into it. I was just here for the photos. I would have probably chosen the same places but it is better than everyone relying on you to find the place. Most of the time I would be traveling alone so naturally, I would have to find the places on my own. I also know that it can be a bit stressful to make sure you don’t get lost or at least waste time trying to figure out where you were. I think I can read maps quite well but my dead reckoning is dismal. I just wish that my phone was able to load my maps, that might be a little easier since it will just tell you where to go.

We came across another gelateria, that is a place which sells gelato. Like the one outside the Vatican city, the Gelateria del Teatro also had a small queue outside it. I always take it as a good sign that they have a lot of good stuff here. The queue moves quite fast. My complaint is that you won’t know what to order until you are actually there right in front of the counter. There was no menu outside and the counter was getting impatient waiting for you to make up your mind. Add the fact that there are tens of other patrons looking on waiting for you to move on. Other than that, their gelato is lovely, probably at the same level as the one we had at the Vatican City. The gelato was silky smooth and it tasted like the flavors they supposedly are. It is difficult to compare the two, but this one is supposedly one of the best in Rome. I really would appreciate more generous servings but good things don’t come free.
