Exploring Natural History

As label on the tin says, the American Museum of Natural History is a museum which features the history of life. It doesn’t just include human history also includes other animals and plants, extinct and not. I was starting to explore main exhibit areas. This features exhibits about animals from certain places in the world. Like Africa, which features lions and even Southeast Asia which has water buffaloes. I think the exhibits were well made. I would imagine that there animals were stuffed from dead specimens.

The exhibit area was very generous if you can imagine being able to display a mountain lion or even an elephant then you know you have the space to spare. There were also areas for birds, including one for the condor which is endangered. Not only are the models very lifelike but the backgrounds of the exhibits look very well made. There are naturally only paintings but they were blended in with some foreground material and you would find it hard to tell where the painting begins. I can’t take a photo of every single exhibit here but suffice to say that I was very happy with what I saw. Of course, who doesn’t like penguins?
