Inside the Bus Terminal in Philadelphia

Not too far from the Reading Terminal Market is the bus terminal which I arrived from New York. I didn’t get to take photos of the bus terminal since I was too busy trying to orient myself. Fortunately, the layout of Philadelphia is easy enough to get. The bus terminal here isn’t that big much to my surprise. The terminal should be able to handle several buses at a time but the departure area isn’t that big. The terminal building itself has seats and television to keep people busy. I have already purchased a return ticket previously since I can’t risk not getting a ride back to New York.

The small terminal probably reflects the fact that Americans tend to drive rather than take public transportation. I would have probably wanted to drive around but I didn’t have a license that would let me. Then again, I won’t have to worry about parking if I didn’t bring a car with me. A few minutes before departure time, they started calling out the destination and all hell broke loose. They tried to organize by row number but it was a mess and ultimately it became a free for all. I managed to get on board anyway and I made it back to New York and then Livingston safely. I enjoyed my trip to Philadelphia hopefully I would get another chance to visit.
