Streets of Philadelphia

Walking Along a Philadelphia Apartment Block

Walking Along a Philadelphia Apartment Block

I was trying to get out of the historical district of Philadelphia as I figured I had visited most of the important places in the area. I was randomly walking trying to get my bearings so I was walking along a residential area of the district. It then occurred to me how nice the place looks. The streets where lined with red brick apartment buildings and the streets were also tree lined. I thought it was quite attractive. I wasn’t sure how old these apartment blocks are but they seem to be well maintained.

The apartments looked pretty much how I see them on television. Interestingly these apartment blocks have basements. Sometimes you can just see a window peeking just above ground but it is actually there. I thought it was a weird setup since the basement won’t really get that much sunlight, even if it was the height of summer. I don’t really know about the reputation of Philadelphia but it seemed to be pretty safe here, or perhaps I was just in the safer neighborhoods. I was glad that I didn’t experience any of the bad stuff that I see in the news.
