Lunch at Dungloe Town

Fish and Chips at a Pub in Dungloe Town

When I reached that small village at Crohy, I was already starving. I didn’t have any breakfast that day and by the time I got to the village it was already well past noon. I was going through the village in search of food and I reached what I think is the visitor center. I was thinking that surely there has to be food here but that didn’t seem to be the case. I think there were still not expecting any visitors this time of the year so the kitchen was still not open. I next head to a pub which was the next best thing for a meal but they weren’t open for lunch either. This is probably a bad time of the year to visit but I thought that it was almost summer vacation so they should be prepared for visitors.

I was told to head off to the town of Dungloe, which isn’t really that far from here. It is probably several minutes drive from the village. The town is a much larger place and it seems to have a lot of things here including shopping centers. The people from the surrounding villages probably come here for their shopping as well. First things first, I needed to find food. I found a large pub which was open and ordered some fish and chips. I didn’t pick this place because of anything I read but I didn’t like the food anyway. The fish and chips were dry and seemed artificial. There wasn’t really much taste in them and they weren’t cheap either. I had much better fish and chips elsewhere. At least I managed to eat something. I hung around for a few minutes before heading out again.
