Lough Gartan

On the Shores of Lough Gartan

On the Shores of Lough Gartan

For my last hurrah at the Glebe House and Gallery, I would have a look at the Lough Gartan on whose shores was built the Glebe Gallery. The lake is long but narrow, you can easily see the other side of the lake but the other end of the lake beyond my point of view. The lake makes for a great last stop as I don’t get to go to lakes quite often. In fact, from where I came from, I didn’t get to visit lakes at all. Ireland seems to have lakes in great abundance so I think it is a great opportunity to experience it.

Beautiful Day at Lough Gartan

Beautiful Day at Lough Gartan

I have heard about Lough Gartan from my friends who go biking but this would be the first time I would actually visit it. I was surprised to see how beautiful that area actually is. Walking down from the Glebe House, the past leads straight to the lake itself. There is nothing fancy here. As you can just pull out your fishing rod and go fishing. There wasn’t much shore to walk around in though perhaps this is something I would want here. Maybe a bit of landscaping would help. I can imagine spending a beautiful day by the shores of this lake. The lake is free for the public to visit.
