Going to the Glebe Gallery

Outdoor Dining at the Glebe Gallery

When I was doing my research on where to go in County Donegal, my search reached some sites which gave the top sights in the county. It was because of that that I am going to the Glebe Gallery. From my understanding, the Glebe Gallery is some sort of house which displays the art works of some artist. I am not too big on these kinds of places but it was on the way home so I didn’t mind passing by. The day was long so I wasn’t really in a hurry to go back home. The Glebe Gallery sits on the shores of Lough Gartan, which isn’t that far away from Letterkenny. It is just outside the Glenveagh National Park and the surroundings are beautiful. There are plenty of signs on the way to the Glebe Gallery that it is difficult to miss.

Whenever I go out, I tend to favor visiting places which are natural or historical, as in really old stuff. Culture tends to fade into the background for me and I don’t normally visit places like this. It was good that it is already along the way that I might as well have a look at what can be seen here. The estate itself sits beside Gartan Lake and the estate seems to be quite big. I can imagine how nice it would be living in such a place. I can’t blame the artist if he was inspired by the beauty of this place.
