Titanic Belfast

When I heard that we were going to be visit Titanic Belfast, I didn’t exactly jump for joy hearing the news. I must admit that I am not a fan of these kinds places, especially since they seemed to be hyped up. After all, they are mean to bring people in. Hyped or not, they really made a very good place to come to know all about the famous ship. I have to admit that I actually enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. There were a lot of stories to be read and heard here. It is incredible to know that they were true stories from people who survived the sinking. The were a bit of a cheesy ride in the center where you experience how it is to work inside the massive ship but I think that was more for kids but it was still fun.

There was a ton of information and you can see that every effort was made to make sure that this place is interesting. The exterior of the building is probably just as interesting. The unconventionally designed building sits in the former shipyard where the ship was originally built. The design of the building is quite striking. It looks like a sparkling jewel which may be shaped like four ship’s bows stuck together. The more I looked at the building, the more I liked it. The exterior walls also have a texture to give it different shades given the light. You probably won’t be able to notice this shape from the outside. The Titanic Belfast is probably just an ingredient to renew this part of the city. I would agree that it is an inspiring piece to do that.
