Next in line for us was Streedagh Beach. Our visits here seem to be getting shorter and shorter. We are at the Sligo segment of the Wild Atlantic Way. Unfortunately for us the beaches here seem to be declining in quality with each one we visit. I don’t mean that it is dirty or anything like that, but it is not particularly attractive. The sand here was not that bright although there was a lot of it. There is a long stretch here of pristine beach.

However, people here don’t come here for the beach, but rather for surfing. You can see why. The sea has a lot of waves crashing on the beach, making for great surfing opportunities. Indeed, there were a few vehicles parked here with surfboards in tow. I don’t really know anything about surfing so I would just leave that to the experts. I can’t really say too much about the beach either since it was almost featureless. We just took a few photos and left.
