We were so busy the previous day here at the Basilica Shrine of Our Lady of Knock that we didn’t really get to explore the church grounds that much. All that it done now and we have some time to spare before we leave. The decided to see what is here since there was more to see than just the basilica. There was small hill to the right of the basilica and it seemed to be important. There were crosses which were lining the way to the top of the hill. I believe this was an outdoor stations of the cross. This is normally busiest during Holy Week, we were just here to explore the area.

You can also go to the other parts of the basilica grounds. We walked past what seemed to be houses. I believe these are the residences of the priests. They seemed to be pretty nice. It was in a nice little garden in the basilica grounds and with the sun showing that day, it made for very nice scene. If I lived here, it would have been extremely boring for me. The town is too small and I don’t even know if there is a supermarket here. One would probably have to drive out just to go for your groceries. I guess I am still in a city mindset.
