Beautiful Setting for Breakfast at Golden Rose Bed and Breakfast in Knock

I had a relaxing night at Golden Rose Bed and Breakfast. Apart from the basilica itself, there wasn’t much to see in the town of Knock. I was thinking that maybe it wasn’t really a good idea to spend the night in this town since there wasn’t much going on but I couldn’t really find any other place near Knock. I’ll have to admit that I did take too long before looking for a place. Since we were already here I did find it refreshing to be staying in a different place. There wasn’t much need of heating that time of the year but at least the bed was still warm. We woke up early the next day since we will be going around the area. Breakfast was already being prepared when we woke up and the dining area is at the house’s living room.

The living room is pleasantly decorated, reflecting a lot of the piety of the owners. There weren’t a lot of tables here but I don’t think there will be a lot of people eating in one go. When I got there, there was already someone else there. She was another pilgrim originally from the Philippines, which also has a rich devotion to Mary. After exchanging pleasantries, we had our breakfast of full Irish breakfast. The owner kept giving me some of here delicious bread which she said she made. It is still nice and warm and perfect for breakfast. I think we managed to each two baskets of her bread. In no way was it helped by her comments about her no one finishing her bread.
