Beautiful Green Hills at Carrick-a-Rede

Carrick-a-Rede is our last stop of our exploration of the coast of county Antrim. The coast along the causeway is probably one of the most spectactular in the world. That is probably already saying something since the coasts of Ireland are really very impressive. I was a bit disappointed to know that the cost of entry at Carrick-a-Rede is almost the same as the Giant’s Causeway. I would imagine that the Giant’s Causeway is more impressive that this place. Anyway, the place is still open when we got that and it was already early evening, but since it was summer, there was still a lot of light outside. No wonder people go out a lot in the summer.

Walking Towards the Rope Bridge at Carrick-a-Rede

I was quite surprised to not see the main feature of this place, and that it the rope bridge immediately. Most people would be coming here for the rope bridge but it seems that there would have to be a bit of walking here before we get to the main site. Not that I mind that, the hills here were very beautiful with plant life all around. You could probably create desktop wallpapers from this place since it is so beautiful. It probably helps that the weather is very good. It used to be that I didn’t like summer because it was way too hot, now I think I have come to love summer.
