The airport train to the Rome Fiumicino International Airport, also known as the Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport, was not that bad. It was not ultramodern like some of their high speed trains in fact, it looked old. However, it works and it is comfortable. There was a man who was going around the seats to check the tickets so it is important that you validate the ticket before you get on the train. I wasn’t sure what would happen if you somehow forget to validate. Surely, they would have something to validate the ticket with. At the same time, having that would immediately get rid of those rowdy people at the validation machine.

There is a train every twenty minutes, I don’t think there is any chance of missing a ride, just make sure that you allocate enough time to go there. The last stop is the airport itself and the station here seems to be quite old as well. Perhaps I am spoiled by the brand spanking new Asian airports that are sprouting up all over the place. The airport here isn’t new either. In fact it feels small. I thought that was strange since Italy receives a lot of tourists every year, you’d think they would have a larger airport.
