Spanish Steps Revisited

Sight Seeing or People Watching at the Spanish Steps in Rome

Sight Seeing or People Watching at the Spanish Steps in Rome

While all these sightseeing of ancient Roman ruins are interesting and all, there was only so much one could take. This was very similar to the times I would get templed out or churched out whenever I visit too many magnificent temples or churches. After a while of seeing the one beautiful thing after another, you mind starts to go numb from all of that. We decided to call it quits. Now the ladies would have their turn, it was time for shopping! We decided to head back to where we thought was a shopping area. The Spanish Steps area seemed to be a place where there were a lot of shops and they decided that they wanted to have a look there. I thought it was the end of my sightseeing here in Rome.

Turns out that we would be passing by the Spanish Steps itself and the place was buzzing with activity. I don’t really know what the people where doing there but most of them were just chilling out on the steps itself. It was almost like an ampthitheater with everyone looking the same way. The day was beautiful and people would have probably wanted to go get some sun, what a better place to do it than the Spanish Steps. Incidentally, the Spanish Steps are probably one of the best places to people watch. There wasn’t much space on the steps itself but if you can find space, then I encourage you to people watch.
