Amazing Interiors of the Vatican Museum

Palatial Interiors of the Vatican Museum

When we entered the lobby of the Vatican Museum, I was a bit underwhelmed at the interiors. It was rather stale and surprisingly modern. Perhaps I was hoping it would be somewhere along the lines of the Louvre, true, I probably have been spoiled by the incredible grandeur of the Louvre museum in what can be considered the best museum in the world. The Vatican Museum is supposed to be up there with the Louvre but I still can’t see any of that yet. It was only until we went into the main exhibition area that I got see what I was looking for.

We seemed to be in some kind of hallway and we were inching our way into the museum. At the same time we were gawking at the impressive interiors of the hallway. It seemed to be quite common to be decorating the ceiling of the room or hall during those times. It reminded me of the ceilings of the Louvre or Versailles or just a nearby basilica. Interestingly, the colors here were generally yellow and white, which happen to be the colors of the Vatican.
