I didn’t really have a hand in where we would be staying. Since I had ladies with me, I thought it would be better if they decided where we would stay. My standards of comfort might not be the same as theirs. I don’t think it would come out to be that expensive anyway, they were also on a budget, so we won’t be staying in any posh hotels, I hope. For our stay in Venice, we would be staying at the Hotel San Geremia, which is only a short distance away from the railway station. This is good since I don’t want to be rushing to get to the train station because I woke up late. The hotel is located at a square called Campo San Geremia. Basically, from the railway station facing the Grand Canal turn left until you see a large square with a large church on the right.

There were a lot of very interesting shops along the way, and even I was intrigued by the stuff they have on sale here. From the short walk it was supposed to take to get to the hotel, it became and ordeal just to make it there. We would stop at every shop along the way every single time we go there. It really is in a good location. The hotel lobby is right beside a cafe on the right. WIFI and hot water provided. We got a room at the very top floor, it was an arduous climb even for me who packed very light, what more of our friend who seemed to have brought all her belongings with her on the trip. Our room was large and good enough to fit all our beds. For some reason, one of my friends was still cold and she was wearing winter clothes to sleep while I sweltering in my shorts. First time, I’ve worn shorts in a long time. Maybe I gotten used to cold weather. There was no heating at the hotel at that time, since there was no real need. It really wasn’t that cold. The Hotel San Geremia was a good value hotel. I would recommend it for the convenience, cleanliness and value.
