Incredible Detail on the Arch of the Gates of the Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral

The Our Lady of Paris Cathedral, or more popularly known as the Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral or just Notre-Dame, is one of the most well known churches in the world. The massive church sits along the banks of the River Seine in the heart of Paris and it is said to be one of the best examples of French Gothic architecture. I won’t have a chance to explore this famous cathedral so I can I only look it from outside. Most people have seen photos of the Notre-Dame Cathedral and it is a very ornate cathedral which is typical for gothic churches. The main gate itself had multitudes of statues carved on the arch. The doors are likewise very intricately designed.

The cathedral features two bell towers on either side of the church. To better appreciate the cathedral you really need to pay attention to the details of the building. It seems that you would find a surprise everywhere you look. I have been to numerous gothic churches in this trip to know that this was also a very good example of a gothic church. I would have loved to see the inside of the church but the queue here is even longer than the queue for the Saint-Chapelle chapel which is nearby. It would have been great to see this church at night as well. If what I have seen from the internet is accurate, photographers would have a field day here.
