Exploring the Gardens of Versailles

Walking Along the Gardens of Versailles

Most people start exploring the Gardens of Versailles from the chateau. It is here where people start going in different directions, which is all good since it spreads out the huge number of people streaming out of the chateau. One can’t go wrong just walking down the length of the garden, after all this is where most of the interesting stuff are. Visitors can then decide to see anything that is interesting on either side of the garden. The Gardens of Versailles are a great example of French garden design. What better way to do it than to do it for a king. It is for this reason that the Gardens of Versailles are also included in the listing of Versailles as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

As you might exepct in a garden, there is a lot of greenery here. We walked along the main avenues of the garden and were just enjoying ourselves there. It was a beautiful day and it was great for a walk. Thankfully, there weren’t a lot of people in the garden. Or rather, the garden was so large that it would take a huge number of people to fill this up. I don’t think everybody goes on and explores the garden after seeing the chateau. Not surprising, since the garden would seem to be quite ordinary after seeing the opulence displayed at the chateau. However, the garden is really an integral part of the Palace of Versailles complex.
